Great Looking Lashes

Having great-looking lashes is something that a person is born with, but if you are like most people you weren't born with great-looking lashes; you need to fake it. When you notice great-looking lashes chances are the person is using the right mascara and some tricks. You, too, can have great-looking lashes.

To achieve the look of having long lashes, curl them. Using an eyelash curler, begin at the base of the lash, where the lash and the eyelid meet. Squeeze the eyelash curler as you move the curler up to the end of the tips of the eyelash. This will give the eyelashes the look of having a natural curl. You want the eyelash to curve smoothly, not to bend sharply. Before applying mascara apply eyeliner from the inside by the tear duct towards the outer corner of the eye. When applying mascara you will want to use mascara that helps to create a curved shape; look for a mascara applicator that uses a curved wand. After the mascara has dried (about ten minutes) use the curler again, squeezing the curler for ten seconds.

Before applying mascara, use a lash primer on your eyelashes. Usually, the primer comes in white and is applied before the mascara. The primer will hold the pigment while it increases fullness and length. If there is no primer and you still want to get thicker lashes then use your loose face powder and with a clean makeup brush gently brush the loose face powder onto the eyelashes.

Another trick to getting the look of being "fat and full" is after priming the eyelashes apply two to three coats of mascara. When applying the second coat nudge the inner eyelashes with the mascara wand towards the center of your face, then brush the middle lashes upward and the outer lashes out towards the temple.

Take the time that is necessary to apply mascara so that the lashes have an even application to the mascara by ridding the mascara wand of excess mascara. Do this by dabbing the excess mascara onto a tissue. An alternative to dabbing the excess mascara off is to comb the lashes while they are still wet with a lash comb. Instead of buying a lash comb, make your own lash separator by using an old mascara wand and washing off all the old mascara. This will leave your lashes looking clean without any clumping.

By using some of these tricks your lashes will be looking great.
