Best Anti-Wrinkle Creams

Written by Emily McBride (last updated February 11, 2022)

Whether you are trying to prevent your future wrinkles or you are trying to reduce the wrinkles you already have, you may have tried anti-wrinkle creams. There is a lot of debate about whether or not anti-wrinkle creams actually help prevent or reduce wrinkles, but many people say they have noticed a difference. Scientists have also started agreeing that anti-wrinkle creams can help lessen wrinkles.

If you have decided to use anti-wrinkle creams, the next step is to decide which kind to use. Anti-wrinkle creams can be expensive, so before you spend a fortune on anti-wrinkle creams, make sure you do your research. Sometimes the best way to find out about products is to ask your friends and family what they have had success with. However, there are also other ways to find the best anti-wrinkle cream for you.

The most important thing to look for in anti-wrinkle creams is what ingredients are used. Some ingredients to look for are L-Caronsine, aloe vera, ginkgo biloba, vitamin E, methylsulfonylmethane, idebenone, and dimethylamino ethanol. Some other common ingredients in anti-wrinkle creams are retinol, hydroxy acids, coenzyme Q10, copper peptides, kinetin, and tea extracts.

The following is a list of anti-wrinkle creams that have been rated well:

  • Resdermatrol
  • Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream
  • Strivectin-SD
  • Dermajuv
  • Dermacai
  • RoC Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer
  • Lifecell Skin Care
  • Revitol

You can locate these anti-wrinkle creams on the Internet. Some you will be able to find at drugstores or cosmetic counters, but others you may need to go to specialty stores or order online.

One of the best ways to prevent wrinkles is by taking care of your skin and body. Make sure that you keeping hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Use facial moisturizer to keep your skin from getting dry. Eat fruits and vegetables and take a multi-vitamin if you are not getting enough nutrients through your diet. Don't expose your skin to the sun too much, and use sun block when you do go out. Also, get enough sleep—exhaustion can make your face look like it has more wrinkles than it really does. Smoking is also harmful for your skin and will add more wrinkles around the mouth.

When you are using anti-wrinkle creams, remember that they will not make your wrinkles completely disappear—but they should help them look less noticeable. Since you can't stop the aging process, try to embrace it instead!
