Strapless Bras

For most women, bras are an essential piece of every day's wardrobe. Whether you wear a 30A or a 42DD, the extra support from a good bra is invaluable. Today, you have many different options when it comes to choosing a bra. Different bras are often better for different occasions or different outfits.

For example, sports bras are best for running because of the support they give. If you want to show a little extra cleavage with your little black dress, a push-up bra may be best for you. Under-wire bras give extra support, especially for those with larger chests. If you feel uncomfortable with your flat chest, you can wear a padded bra to make your breasts appear a little larger. Special bras even exist for nursing mothers, so that they don't have to completely remove their bras when nursing. Bras come in all colors and patterns, and you can find them in all sorts of fabric, such as cotton and lace.

Another way that bras vary is by what kind of straps they have. The traditional bra has two parallel straps, while a sports bra usually crosses in the back. If you are wearing a strapless dress or a halter top, however, it would look extremely tacky to have your bra straps showing. Fortunately, you can buy a strapless bra for such an occasion. If you would rather not buy a new bra, many bras also have removable straps.

If you have a full chest, you should have no problems with a strapless bra. If you have a flatter chest, however, it may be more difficult for you to find a bra that will stay on. Most of the time, if you have a bra that is the right size, it should stay put without sliding around too much. If you are still having trouble, try an adhesive bra. Adhesive bras are made to stick to your skin to ensure that they won't fall down.

One of the most important ways to get a good bra is to make sure you are getting the best size for you. If you are not sure how to correctly measure what size of bra you need, at a department store you can ask a bra specialist to help you. This will ensure a more comfortable and more flattering fit.

Test out your strapless bra before you wear it in public. You may find that it is not staying up and that you need to try something else instead.
