Gorgeous Legs for Life

Written by Charlotte Wood (last updated July 22, 2020)

Every woman wouldn't complain if she had long, tan, smooth, perfect legs. We wouldn't necessarily want Barbie legs because then our whole bodies would be a bit out of proportion, but nice gorgeous legs would be nothing to gripe about. I'm afraid that perfect legs might be out of the question, but there are ways to take care of your legs so you can have gorgeous legs for life!

The key to gorgeous legs is really taking of them, which translates into taking care of your whole body. You need to be healthy and eat properly. It's not really possible to have gorgeous legs if the rest of you is lacking in care. Taking care of your legs is definitely the same as taking care of your body. You need to start off by eating right, meaning eating your fruits and vegetables and another crucial aspect of taking care of your body is exercising. If you're working your way toward gorgeous legs, then keep up the good work. You should combine cardiovascular exercise (e.g. running) with muscular exercise (e.g. weightlifting) and that combination should yield excellent results.

To really focus on your legs, do exercises that work your calves and thighs. This can be done in a number of ways, including running (try running up hills or slopes so you can really feel your calves working) and traditional weight training. With weight training you can go a couple of different places to achieve the same results. You can stay in your home and do stair stepping to build up your calves and once you get comfortable with that, you can stair step with light weights in your hands. You can also go to a gym and use the weight machines there. While the basic results are the same for weightlifting at the gym and in your home, you have greater opportunity to work more specific parts if you join a recreational or fitness center. With specialized machines you can not only work your calves but also your thighs.

Once you get your legs toned so they look healthier, many of you might want your legs to look a little tan. You can achieve that in a few ways. There's always the old school sunbathing to give your legs some color or the tanning bed, both of which you need to do in moderation so as to avoid skin problems in the future (e.g. cancer). My favorite way to "tan" my legs is with sunless tanner. There are multiple products out there that don't give you the orange look and that work really well. This is the safest option I believe and while it may not look exactly like a real tan, it looks enough like one so that most won't question.

It's not difficult to have gorgeous legs and you can keep these gorgeous legs for life if you can maintain a healthy (and consequently gorgeous) body for life!
