Making Eyes Look Bigger

Have you ever tried to get someone's attention by trying to make eye contact and it just didn't work? The secret is to having bigger eyes. Getting your eyes to look bigger isn't that hard. There are some pretty easy tricks that you can use to make those eyes pop.

Start out by making your eyelashes stand out. Unfortunately we don't all have long gorgeous eyelashes. But, this is one of the easiest remedies—use false eyelashes. If you have short or thin eyelashes then false eyelashes can make up the difference. Learning how to apply false eyelashes correctly may take some time, but the effect that it has is well worth the effort. Actually, false eyelashes aren't as hard to apply as some people make them out to be. What happens is that false eyelashes give the illusion of elongating the eyes and actually helps to define them.

Another thing you can do is to curl your lashes. If you choose not to wear false eyelashes then take the time to curl your natural ones. A curled eyelash makes all the difference in making the eyes "pop" open. What happens is that the lashes, after they are curled, lift the eye upward. This gives another illusion of a larger eye that is more rounded.

You should also keep your eyebrows shaped. Sometimes, we tend to forget how powerful our eyebrows can be. When eyebrows are shaped correctly the whole face can lighten up. You will want to shape and define your eyebrows to something that will enhance your face. You will want to be sure that any stray hairs are removed. There is often the misunderstanding that the thinner your eyebrows are the bigger the eyes appear. This isn't true; all the eyebrow does is frame your eyes.

Remember that mascara is definitely a must. Mascara is created to define the eyelashes, and it comes in a variety of different colors. The decision on what type you want to wear is up to you.

There are also some things you can do when you use eye shadow, particularly if you have smaller eyes. Highlight and shade your eyes by applying a lighter color on the lids of the eyes. This simple step can help to open the eyes and make them seem larger.

Using eyeliner is another trick that can help with the illusion of bigger eyes. This takes a little bit of caution: You do not want to apply the eyeliner all around your eyes. Just apply to the upper eyelid and the lower eyelashes as well. When applying to the bottom of the eye you will want to apply just below the lash, not inside the rim. Use white eyeliner to the corner of your eyes. The white seems to add light to your eyes, giving the effect of having larger eyes.

Try some of the different tricks and see which ones looks best for you and help to make your eyes "pop."

when using false eyelashes, be careful when you take them off, pull off carefully , gently or your own could stay stuck on the false. A good idea is put baby oil on the tip of Q tip and run on top of falsie the pull gently. I use dark colored glue when putting them on black lashes. Beautiful
