Developing Fuller, Smoother, Sexier Lips

Written by Charlotte Wood (last updated July 26, 2019)

Actresses like Angelina Jolie are praised for their luscious big lips. I have full lips and was actually teased back in grade school, but now I realize that people actually envy full lips. Do you find yourself wishing that your own lips were fuller, smoother, and sexier? Full, smooth lips are alluring, and many find full lips attractive. If you wish for fuller lips, there are a couple of things you can do to improve your situation. And for smoother and sexier lips, the tips are even easier.

Developing full lips is a little more difficult than making your lips smooth or sexy, because there isn't much you can do to make your lips physically bigger. The first product to try is a lip plumper. Lip plumpers contain ingredients that, well, plump your lips. Some of the products produce immediate, shorter lasting results, while other products contain proteins that stimulate collagen growth, resulting in a longer wait time but more long-lasting plump lips. Sometimes lip plumpers can make your lips sting, but for plumper lips without plastic surgery, lip plumpers are the way to go. You can find them in any cosmetics aisle. If you want permanent full lips, then you should look into plastic surgery. Surgery is costly and painful, but if performed by a skilled surgeon, plastic surgery can give you the plump lips you've always wanted.

Smoother and sexier lips are easier to come by. Find a good chapstick—Burt's Bees is my favorite brand—and use it. Keeping your lips moisturized is the best way to keep them smooth. You also need to make sure to stay hydrated; often chapped lips are a sign that you need to drink more water.

My favorite way to make my lips sexier is to wear lip gloss. I have a few favorite shades and pick what lip gloss I wear dependent on what I'm wearing that day or what I'm doing that day. Lip gloss will always add polish to your look and punch to your lips. I have a soft pink gloss (MAC color Viva Glam V) that is more appropriate for dressier outfits and a silver gloss (Bobbi Brown color Glacier) that, when applied sparingly, is great for casual, everyday ensembles. Lip gloss is a great way to draw attention to your lips and make them sexy, regardless of the occasion.

It's easy to make your lips fuller, smoother, and sexier—it just takes a little effort and a little product. If you take the time to implement these simple techniques, then you'll have fuller, smoother, sexier lips in no time!
