How to Have Sexy Legs

Written by Charlotte Wood (last updated June 9, 2021)

Especially in the summertime, legs are everywhere—at the pool, at the mall, at the beach, and sometimes even at work—so naturally you want to follow the trend and sport some long sexy legs yourself. The question though, is how do you have sexy legs? For some of us it's a problem that may seem unsolvable. The solution to acquiring sexy summer legs is not necessarily a quick fix, but one that can yield most excellent results.

It's hard to pretend that you have sexy legs when you don't. Well, you can always pretend you do, but convincing people of the fact is harder to do than convincing them that you're skinnier, older, younger, or smarter. Your legs are your legs and however you want to look at it it's hard to change how they look without some work involved.

Legs are just like any other part of your body; if you want to improve it, work on it. Eating right and exercising (that never ceasing health mantra) is the crucial aspect when transforming your legs from average to sexy. However, unlike other body parts, there's not really an alternative. With your stomach for instance, there are other ways (e.g. special diets or fad pills) that will shave off a few inches from your waistline, which aren't exactly good for you but they work. With legs, there's not really too much you can do except take care of your body (gasp!).

Once you've downed your fruits and vegetables and worked those calves and thighs (stair stepping is a great way to harden those calves by the way), then the key to having sexy legs is showing off those sexy legs with confidence. In order to maximize the attractiveness of your legs, remember that you don't need miniskirts and butt-baring shorts; immodesty is not the look you want to have.

What makes you (and your legs) sexy is not how much skin you show, but rather how much confidence and poise you exude. If you walk like you know where you're going and what you're doing then people will believe you and notice your sexy legs. Confidence is sexy and women who walk with good posture, their heads up, and their eyes straight ahead will attract more gazes than those who don't.

Sexy is all about attitude. Looks obviously still play a vital role, but if you can dress for your body and be okay with that, strutting around with poise and self assurance, then you'll be definitely more sexy than those women who may be beautiful but are lacking in composure. Sexy is attainable for any woman; you just have to be okay with yourself and show it with pride!
