Make Your Lips Look Fuller

Summary: Full lips are the way to go in today's beauty world, but not everyone has natural full lips. Not to fear, here are some easy ways to pump up your lips and give you a natural looking, surgery free boost!

Why is it that fifth graders can be some of the meanest people when it comes to treating their peers? When I was in fifth grade, this really mean group of kids called me B.L.C.: Big Lip Charlotte. I would cry and go around class with my lips curled under so no one would make fun of them. People told me that there are celebrities and others who would get surgery to get their lips to look like mine naturally do, but that did nothing to appease my peer-induced embarrassment over my lips. Now that I've grown up, I've come to appreciate my naturally full lips and use them to my flirtatious advantage. If you aren't a B.L.C. like I am, there are ways apart from surgery to achieve the fuller-lip look.

The place to start is by keeping your lips moisturized and smooth, because regardless of how full your lips could look, dry lips don't look good on any sized lips. Here is the place where lip liner can really work to your advantage. Apply lip liner and draw it just outside where your lips start to give that initial look of looking fuller. Be careful though not to draw outside the natural shape of your lips—clown lips are never good.

Next, apply the lipstick and to really achieve a fuller look, put on a lighter shade of lipstick in the middle of your lips. The best kind of lipstick to use is a glossy one because a matte will dry out your lips and sheer lipstick won't last long. Color also adds to the full look of your lips. A lighter color will make your lips look fuller while a darker one won't so much.

The finishing touch you'll need to really pump up your lips is some good lip gloss. The shine really accentuates your lips and gives them that boost you want. One of my favorite ways to use lip gloss that succeeds in enhancing my already full lips is to combine lip gloss colors. Putting on an initial shimmering pink and following that up with a soft gold really does the trick in giving your lips depth and adds to the fuller look you want.

Even though I cried about my full lips in fifth grade, I feel pretty lucky now! Full lips are the way to go and if you don't have them naturally it's easy to create the look. All you need is some good lighter lipstick colors, gloss, and some attitude to give your lips that boost!
